    We stayed here for several weeks doing business in the area. Loved our room and the cleanliness of the hotel. We especially loved the selection from the Free hot breakfast buffet. Waffles were our favorite. The large desk in our room enables us to set up our computer and printer while we were working in San Jose. We lused the light rail to go to events in downtown over the weekend and saved on parking fees. The light rail stop was just outside the hotel. Our car was also in their inside parking facility which we thought was great. We will stay here again when we come back to work in San Jose.

    I made a reservation at this hotel because I was looking into colleges in the area. The trip reservations were made through travel agency a month in advance. Upon our arrival, I was refused service because I was 20 instead of 21. There was no indication, on the travel agency website or the choice hotel website, that I needed to be 21 or older to check in. In fact, the website clearly stated that I only needed to be over 18 so I had assumed that there wouldn't be a problem. When I asked about where this policy was listed, the hotel staff member showed a little piece of paper that was taped behind the desk. So after traveling from Los Angeles, we were turned down based on a policy that was taped behind the desk. I asked to speak to the manager and he was very rude to me and said "We don't have to serve children". I felt that i had addressed him in a very respectful tone, especially considering the predicament I was now in.
    Also, as I was waiting in the lobby., I witnessed an incident where an older couple was overcharged. The problem was fixed but without any apology from the hotel staff.

    In conclusion, the level of service that I witnessed in the establishment was appalling. In the short time I was there, I witnessed not only myself, but another couple being taken advantage of. I ended up staying at the Clarion and had absolutely no problems after my incident at Comfort Suites.

    Management is not physically present on site so you have no one with actual authority to solve problems when they come up. Then, when they do finally get engaged, they go back on their word and provide poor customer service
